Do you really love yourself?

One of my favorite love-based movies is Valentine’s Day.  It’s about a girl who desperately throws herself on men and can’t understand why nothing ever materializes. It’s a little bit about finding self respect before sharing that love with others.  (I am a HUGE sucker for romantic comedies, even if they are sexist.)6 Traditionally, February…

Will you actually do your resolution?

These two mistakes prevent you from realizing the change you desire in 2018 Every year on New Year’s Eve, the media showers us with reminders of everything that happened during the year:  The people who died, the natural disasters that wreaked havoc, and all the political crap that went down.  But that isn’t what we should…

How essential oils help me

I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal stuff lately (which I am mustering up the guts to share here in the near future), and although I thought it was getting better, today was one of those days when I fell back into despair. I vented to my friend as we did our regular nature…

What does this have to do with money?

Over the past few months I’ve been talking to a lot of people who are stuck.  They want to make a huge difference in the word and they feel stuck where they currently are, usually because of money.  I’ve been (vacillate being) there and I’m going to share a possibly unpopular idea about this state…

Top 6 personal favorite books on mindset

In honor of one of the most amazing authors ever, Louise Hay, I’m sharing my list of beloved self-discovery books. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been sharing thoughts, insights and ideas about changing the way we think about life.  All these ideas have been sparked by some really incredible, off-the-beaten-path books. I Almost Went Into A Ditch

Wow! For the first time ever, i think, I dodged a real doozy of a bullet. Have you ever gone to bed pissed off about something, only to wake up still really peeved? It’s NOT a great way to start the day. That was me today. I could feel the angst from last night’s argument…

Fears holding us back, from what?

A couple of weeks ago I had another transformative experience.  It started pretty innocently.  My friend Star invited me to her home for a “Bad Ass Manifestation” party. I thought about not going for about 2 minutes.  Hang out with hubby at a microbrewery, or manifest my hopes and dreams with some other big-time players.…

The risk of blossoming

This is the day. The risk to remain tight in a bud is more painful than the risk I must take to blossom. Where is this all coming from?  I got my ass kicked and handed to me on a platter this weekend.  It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t totally my fault, either, but it still…

Another adventure begins

As you read this, I’m on my way to Georgia to hike the Appalachian Trail.

Some people (namely my MOM) don’t understand why some of us feel compelled to “conquer” big challenges, like marathons, and triathlons, and the AT, but I think I’m in good company here. 🙂 Many of you have accomplished feats that, at first, seemed difficult at best, or maybe even downright ridiculous!

Why do we do this stuff?

holy crap…how do you interpret that?

It all started when I was being booted from my dream job. At least that is what I thought at the time. I was making the most I ever made, back in 1995, working as a bench scientist. I even had free parking, which was hard to come by in that area of the ciy.…
